Outbound Transactions from F0911

I would like to create outbound transactions from F0911 which are approved and posted in the F0911Z4. If anyone out there is using this Interoperabilty functionality could you please give me some tips. We have never tapped into this. We are on OW Xe Update 7 SP23_z1 and on iseries using DB2/400. Citrix Thin clients.
I did read through Appendix F of the Interoperabilty Doc but could not get it working in my environment.
