Zone and Route codes

Hi List
Can we define routing information by using Zones alone? I actually assigned a zone code in customer Billing info and used this in the routing detail line to define routes. But the system is not picking up route.

Also what is the use of Route code?

I think your problem might be that after Xe the Transport module looks for Zone & Country when trying to find valid Routing Entries.

Not sure of your version, but try entering the Country code in the Routing record that has your Zone.

If this doesn't work turn un the jdedebug.log and search for F4950 SQL statements to determine why your routing entry is not being selected.

Route Code can be used as an alternative to Zone - it also has the option of being able to attach a Transport Calendar to control delivery days to a Route/Area/Zone/Place...

Thank you very much. Actually am using E8.10. Zone works with country combination in routing here as you have said. However Route code was working alone without any combinations like Country.
