how to generate putaway request in fg branch after w.o. completion in mfg branch

our plan for the mfg facility is to have a different branch to the finished goods branch. our preferred process here is to do the w.o. completions, transfer the stock to the fg branch and then generate a putaway request into a fg location.
we didn't want to create a st/ot to get the stock from mfg branch to warehouse, rather use a simple inventory transfer and manually create the request. the use of st/ot does allows\ creation of a putaway request on receipt and a reservation to be entered, but adds another level of complexity to the transactions for the process. we are using dclink for scanning so get some flexibility on data handling.
any info or help on the process would be appreciated, especially viability of the option for doing it without the st/ot

You might want to review-test the processing options behind P4113, where it
gives the impression you could create a request from a transfer. I've never
tested and JDE may have limited the scope of activities where a request
would be generated (P4112,4113,4114); but it seems like a natural fit to
what you are trying to accomplish.
