Problem with Citirix sign on

[mad] We have one user who is trying to run thin client and they are getting an error. Error in connection (Error 1043: Invalid Parameter). I have reinstall citrix and I have checked the properties, everything is the same as all of our other thin clients. What is wrong with this one? I have also checked to make sure that they have admin rights. I can't even sign on through citrix at their machine, I get the same error, so I know that it is not related to the user id on JDE. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Stephanie,

can you see the citrix box from that client? If so, can you connect to port 1494 on the citrix box from there (syntax: telnet yourcitrixservername 1494). Is it only when you're connecting to a published application or are you having this problem just connecting to the server in general? Can you connect and get just a desktop?

I am a newbie with this citrix stuff, so what you just said went way over my
head. This is happening at only one desktop, we have about 15 thin clients
and only one has this problem. After the user puts in their user id and
password for the network, then the OneWorld user log in should appear. This
doesn't happen, only the error message shows up. I have tried to sign in
with my user id and password at the same work station but the same thing
happens. I thought at first it was that the user id wasn't set up correctly
with OneWorld but that is not the case.

We were getting some error messages with Protocol Driver Error, which was
just a faulty
network cable in the end. We also have a problem with Sessions not
connecting.
For example - Using Thin Client (Wyse Terminals) Winterm Connection Manager
we have the published application (Oneworld Desktop) from citrix available
there, when the user
tries to connects, the session connection fails, and goes back to the
Winterm Connection Manager.

We believe this is down to licenses registered to the terminal server for
that client.
Are you aware how many licenses you can have and how many users are
connecting?

Re: RE: Problem with Citirix sign on

Stephanie,

Is it possible that this particular PC has a USB device installed that the other (working) Citrix PC clients do not?

I have seen this with USB camera driver. I ended up disabling the driver to get the Citrix connect to work.

Please see the following Citrix support link. It refers to a problem with the Rainbow SmartCard Reader USB device.
