HTML Client
new       #23601 - 11/06/01 02:59 PM

Has anyone out there used the HTML client with the Manufacturing or Distribution modules in OneWorld? We are considering this route but would like to have an idea of what we can expect in terms of performance, issues, growing pains, etc. If you have used the HTML client, are you still using it? What type of testing did you do? Any suggestions?

hello cwagner!

As far as now, we already have the distribution and financial world working on the web, the execution of the reports through the web is working ok too.

Hi,

You might want to look at a tool that we have developed, its called ERP2Web. It is a web and wireless enabling tool for JD Edwards world and One World.

It is a real time and zero client solution. It also does not require you to implement a JAS server and it works on a regular web server.

For more information please feel free to contact me at (630) 434 2424 x 228 or by email niralm@cdiconsulting.com

If you are using SQL Server 2000, JAS is not available.

The JDBC driver from WebLogic does not work with SQL 2000. A new driver from Microsoft (Merant) is under beta but progress is slow.

When JAS is up and running properly, it's not too bad.

We plan to mainly use it for casual remote users and as a backup to the Citrix farm.
