Hi all, I don't understand how the advanced pricing works about date. The definition of PEFJ is: The system uses the Price Effective Date to determine the base price and all advanced price adjustments. The value loaded in this date is stored in the System Constants File (F4009). My question is: if I set '6' (Invoice Date) in the System Costants how does the system do? When I insert a sales order the PEFJ is equal to today, if I print the invoice tomorrow what happens to PEFJ? In tests that I've done the Price Effective Date hasn't changed after the print of invoice. Do you know the rule? Let me know! Thank in advance

Using any price effective date setting which is not known at the time of order entry (such as actual ship date or invoice date), should set the temporary price flag in the F4211. Then you'll need to run the batch program to update Sales order Cost/Price for lines with the recalculated price, once the date is known. This works fine with actual ship date based pricing. The problem is that you want the invoice price to be recalculated once the invoice date is known, but that date isn't known until the invoice program is run. Check the processing options in Invoice Print to see if it can call the Sales Order Cost/Price Update program when it runs. I have some documentation on how this works (with Actual Ship Date as the example). You can email me at Andy.Klee@ERPtips.com if you'd like a copy.
