Anyone have experience with 3rd Party Security Tool?
      #109729 - 07/26/06 04:56 PM

My new employer has been piloting 8.11/8.95F for a few months and is experiencing what I consider the normal pains of a lock-down security implementation. I'm looking into the security tools from QSoftware and AllOut Security. Our main pain points are related to segregation of duties, role conflicts, and row security optimization. Feedback from your experiences with the above tools or with other ones would be great.

Thanks,

Buddy

We have purchased All-out's & are very satisfied in our live E1 8.10. We have utilized their consulting as well.
We are migrating to multi-role & have picked up time-saving techniques as well as performance gains by reducing our row security.

We looked @ Q-software in web-demos but felt it was limited to just JDE XE one-user/one-group strategy.

My current client used AllOut Discovery and we went live two weeks ago with very few security issues. Most of those were undocumented changes since the security configuration was locked down.

It was one of the most painless go-lives from a security perspective I've ever experienced (and I've had more than a few), so I guess the results speak for themselves.
