Unable to login to JDE webclient

When logging into web client, below is the error we are getting on the browser page.
Sign In ErrorThe Security Server is down or cannot be reached. Please contact the System Administrator.


Below message has been found in jas logs
14 Apr 2012 04:23:24,968 [SEVERE] - [JAS] Exception occured in the JDESignon.loadUserProfileWithPass():Error occured while loading the UserProfile for the User :pSFT com.jdedwards.system.security.SecurityServerException: FAILURE: Security Kernel has returned zero packet

Please state your environment, tools release, type of system, etc. Hard to help someone when no info is provided.

I'm having this same issue as well.

E1: 9.1
TR: 9.1.3.1
SQL db/Windows
 
My issue ended up being the hosts file on the ent server, had some old invalid entries in there. Cleaned it up, recycled services and we're back in business.
